Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and review comprehensive permanency plans to secure children’s long-term welfare.

  • Lead and contribute to court proceedings, providing expert advice and professional representation.

  • Prepare detailed, high-quality written reports including Child Permanence Reports and Annex A.

  • Conduct parenting and viability assessments, delivering thorough and evidence-based recommendations.

  • Undertake rigorous risk assessments to prioritise child safety and wellbeing in all decisions.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to foster a cohesive and supportive team atmosphere.


Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in permanency planning and court-related work within children’s services.

  • Demonstrable ability to produce robust and well-evidenced assessments and reports.

  • Excellent risk assessment and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
