Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Specialist Pharmacist – Digital Systems and Technical Services to work in St Helier on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Specialist Pharmacist job is £60,931 – £67,875 per annum.

Role Purpose:

  • Provide Specialist Clinical Pharmacist support to the digital pharmacy team in the development implementation and maintenance of digital systems involving medicines within HCS (e.g Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration)
  • Assist the Accountable Pharmacist in effective and safe operational running of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit and in the training of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the technical aspects of the services. Ensure, maintain, and develop facilities, equipment, and work practises to achieve the highest technical standards.
  • Provide specialist Clinical Pharmacy Services to a designated area to help ensure the safe, clinically effective, and economical use of medicines.

Job specific outcomes:

  • Support the Consultant Pharmacist, digital systems in the development, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of medicines related digital systems, including (but not limited to EPMA, chemotherapy e-prescribing, PharmaTrac, Pyxis.
  • Deputise for the Consultant Pharmacist, digital systems for the operational and clinical management of digital systems involving medicines.
  • Provide all HCS Staff with day-to-day application support, for medicines related digital systems, to enhance clinical medicines safety practices and resolve any issues which may arise.
  • Plan and develop user acceptance test plans and test system upgraded so that systems maintenance and upgrades meet clinical users needs and cause minimal disruption to normal working practices.
  • Act as authorised Pharmacist and supervise day-to-day preparation of products and release for use in accordance with local, regional and national guidelines. To deputise for the

Requirements of the Specialist Pharmacist:

  • Pharmacy Degree (MPharm or equivalent)
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience
