Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) to work in Isle of Wight on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Community Mental Health Nurse job is £28,407 – £34,801 per annum.

Duties:

  • Provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals and work in partnership with other agencies to provide seamless, flexible services which meet service user and carer need
  • Be responsible, together with the wider team, for providing care, interventions and health promotion to people with severe mental health problems in the community
  • Be supported to work as an autonomous practitioner by senior colleagues, as well as taking all opportunities to become actively involved in training and teaching programmes, both within and the wider community

Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under their care and to monitor progress
  • Be aware and act within the requirements of the Mental Health Act at all times, including Community Treatment Orders
  • Demonstrate an enhanced working knowledge of CMH models and philosophies
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of up-to-date evidence based clinical practices and demonstrate flexibility to undertake practical and functional duties as required
  • RN [MH/GN] with live NMC registration
  • Evidence of on-going development and post registration training
  • Training in Risk assessment and management skills
  • Experience in the assessment and management of people with serious and enduring mental health
  • Post registration training in evidence based psychological treatments
  • Evidence of undertaking audit work Innovative, creative and a willingness to try new ideas 
  • Nurse Mentorship Qualification or relevant professional equivalent
  • Current, clean driving license 
  • Training in the management of violence and aggression/breakaway
