GHJ, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Registered Manager to work Full Time for KindNest Health, based in Twyford.
The salary for this Registered Manager job is up to £60,000 per annum.
Main duties:
- Lead the OFSTED registration process and ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements from the outset.
- Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with EBD.
- Recruit, train, and develop a strong, child-focussed staff team.
- Develop and implement care plans in line with individual needs and therapeutic approaches.
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with OFSTED regulations, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
- Build strong working relationships with local authorities, external agencies, families, and the wider community.
- Lead inspections and respond effectively to feedback from OFSTED and other governing bodies.
- Provide inspirational leadership and clear direction to the care team.
- Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
Requirements of this Registered Manager job:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential setting.
- At least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role within a similar setting.
- A strong understanding of EBD and the associated behavioural and emotional needs.
- Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex cases.
- Sound knowledge of the Ofsted framework and Children’s Homes Regulations.
